Irrigation Audit Services

Auditing an existing irrigation system involves analysis of one component as it relates to all of the others.  It’s impossible to have one part of an irrigation system not be influenced by how other parts are working.  However, some individual components, such as a pump station, can be reviewed and analyzed without having to look at everything else.

Sprinkler distribution uniformity audits are relatively independent of entire system audits and can evaluate the performance of an irrigation system on one dimension; specifically, water use and efficiency.  It’s important to keep in mind that most problems of sprinkler distribution are related to too high or too low water pressure.  Poor water distribution and sprinkler performance, as it relates to pressure, is a function of the pump station output or water supply pressure in conjunction with elevation differences and pressure losses through pipe and fittings.  Simultaneously, overall system performance is based on electrical wiring continuity, valve reliability, sprinkler distribution uniformity and the accuracy or lack of control system inputs.

The bottom line is that all of the parts that make up your irrigation system are inter-related and should be evaluated together so a permanent workable solution to the problem can be found.
